This probably isn't going to be implemented. It's complicated.. unless we could express that request in terms of the existing recurrency rules. How about something like 3rd Tuesday + 2 days or similar? That would be in terms of the existing recurrency rule wouldn't it? Problem is writing that to ical, and making sure other applications will understand it. So we need to use existing rules. OK. There are a couple of use cases I use for such events. One is the expiration of stock options which occurs on the Saturday following the third Friday. That is not always the third Saturday. I understand the compatibility issues. I just think it might be useful. It looks like ical can support this: ``` The first Saturday that follows the first Sunday of the month, forever: DTSTART;TZID=US-Eastern:19970913T090000 RRULE:FREQ=MONTHLY;BYDAY=SA;BYMONTHDAY=7,8,9,10,11,12,13 ==> (1997 9:00 AM EDT)September 13;October 11 (1997 9:00 AM EST)November 8;December 13 (1998 9:00 AM EST)January 10;February 7;March 7 (1998 9:00 AM EDT)April 11;May 9;June 13... ``` https://www.kanzaki.com/docs/ical/rrule.html It would be great to be able to set recurring dates like this in korganizer. |
