Check show on desktop, restart application to see the setting lost.

ah, now I remember.

I fixed this recently for the KDE 4.8.3 release.
Hopefully.

I'll close this one as fixed.  If you notice the bug is still there in KDE 4.8.3 and above then please reopen.
