The crash seems to be reproducible. This is the file that crashes: http://meta.metaebene.me/media/raumzeit/rz037-tandem-x.m4a I really wonder how anyone can use Amarok these days. It just keeps crashing all the time. The problem is with the phonon-backend-gstreamer. I can play it without problems here with the phonon-backend-vlc. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 288305 *** Well, the VLC backend is no option for me, because (as I reported in another bug) it produces horrible sound errors. VLC works great. Just the VLC backend is the problem. I hope there will be a fix for either backend soon. Otherwise amarok is just unusable. I can only fondly remember the days when the Xine backend worked/was maintained. :( The phonon-backend-vlc works perfectly fine for me, I can't reproduce an of these sounds you report. Please make sure you report Phonon-backend related problems to Phonon, there is nothing we can do on the Amarok side. I have checked the bug reports you made and almost all are Phonon related, please make sure you report bugs at the correct place. It might be worth to talk to the Phonon developers on #kde-multimedia about your problems, it might be a setup problem of your installation or a problem with the hardware you use. |
