I'm guessing the problem is that while you removed Simons data files, you didn't remove the configuration pointing it to those files. Please remove the following files and try again: /home/ubuntu/.kde/share/config/*simon* /home/ubuntu/.kde/share/config/speechmodelmanagementrc Let me know if that fixes your problem. To be honest, I wouldn't *really* consider this a bug. True, Simon shouldn't crash at all but in this case it's receiving inconsistent data so the only "fix" I could offer would be to fail more gracefully. Thanks for your help. I just made a fresh installation of Linux Mint 12 (and of course I reinstalled Simon). So I don't need this bug fix any more (at least, not at the moment). But thanks anyway. Probably, I will need your "fix" later - when I switch the language again. |
