When creating annotations, and you e.g. want a quick'n'dirty list/table, you are likely to use the TAB key. The Tab however is not displayed when the annotation is finalized. In the editor, the tab is shown properly but once you save it, the tab is lost.

I confirm that the bug happens both in PDF documents (which are rendered by Poppler) and in non-PDF documents.
