Description Matuki 2012-05-01 12:48:09 UTC
When I try to use the GHNS (Get Hot New Stuff) from any supported application, the following message is displayed- "Loading of providers from file http://download.kde.org/ocs/providers.xml failed"

KDE SC 4.8.2 (Ubuntu 11.04)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go in System settings -> Workspace Appearance -> Desktop Theme -> Get New Themes...
2. "Initialization" is displayed during a moment then the message "Loading of providers from file http://download.kde.org/ocs/providers.xml failed" is displayed
Actual Results:
Can't retrieve new modules

Similiar to bug 250993 but I'm not using a proxy (but i have router configured with IpV6 (freebox)).

If i add the following lines in my /etc/hosts, it works :
78.46.24.155	download.kde.org
78.46.24.155	files.kde.org
