This seems to be some setup problem. kmail does not crash here but exits due to the mentioned error. Can you check if akonadi is already running when you start kmail and try again, please ? Also, what akonadi resources are configured ? About 30 processes are running that have akonadi in their names. And kmail will reliably crash on startup on a new kubuntu install without messing with akonadi resources for me. |
On a new installation of kubuntu 12.04, attempting to launch kmail gives me following error followed by it shutting down. KMail encountered a fatal error and will terminate now.
