Using Webkit, Konqueror always animates animated gifs, even if Appearance/General tab/Animations is set to Disabled or Show Only Once.

With KHTML, the setting is honoured.

Sorry, QtWebKit (actually WebKit) does not support such functionality so there is nothing we can do about it from kdewebkit either. See https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23945
