I have enabled Canadian holidays in KOrganizer. They display all right and are correct, but they are in French instead of English.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Settings -> Configure KOrganizer
2. Go to Time and Date option on the left-hand sidebar
3. Select Canada under Use Holiday Region
Actual Results:
Holidays show in French instead of English

Expected Results:
Holidays should show in English, the same language as my system

In Country/Region & Language settings, I have set my Country to Canada, and preferred language to British English.

I've found on the Interweb a theory that the issue is in how KOrganizer chooses a language when multiple language files exist for a given holiday set. Therefore, this problem should also occur when using holidays for other multilingual countries.

Try with a recent kdepimlibs version.

I see both Canada (british English) and Quebec (french) with a recent version.

right, works ok in KOrganizer 4.7 and above.

sorry but KOrganizer 4.4.11 is no longer maintained.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Unfortunately, I have to wait until Debian updates to the new libraries and I'm not about to go fiddling with it myself. I'll leave this as resolved and reopen if, after upgrading, the problem still exists and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Thank you!
