I notice this feature (whice I like) in Gmail and love you have it in my favorite File manager [Dolphin].

In Gmail , when the viewed options in the Header\ToolBar are depend on what you select .

To explain that , here is the default look of gmail :

now if you select a mail from your index , you will see more option became available to you i.e delete , replay ...

now let's add this feature to dolphin , we have pretty enough space in the toolbar
http://store1.up-00.com/Mar12/gss00055.png
which we could use it to provide most used option when when a file is selected (similar to the options appear when I select a mail from my index ).

for example : if the user select several songs in music folder Options like ( Paly all , copy to , move to , delete ) will apper in the toolBar

and the options will hide when the user deSeclect those songs .

Awesome Feature isn't ?!

Reproducible: Didn't try

Expected Results:
Enhance the usablity.

is it good idea or I just waste my time writing it .
or you don't appreciate new idea .
Comment 2 Peter Penz 2012-05-04 19:28:24 UTC
The idea is fine, thanks! But please understand that it is not possible for us to discuss each wish in detail on bugs.kde.org: There are several hundreds of wishes and our time for development is very limited. The wish has been set to "NEW" which means it is generally fine (otherwise it would have been rejected).
