I have no sound on my kamoso recordings with pusleaudio

I've got a Logitech Webcam C300. In pulseaudio it is recordnized as Webcam C300 Analog Mono. If a application opens stereo channels for sound recording the sound won't record. Skype opens the device as mono device and everything is fine. Kasamo on the other side opens the Webcam as stero device and I don't get any recording sound.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
no sound recording because stereo channels are used

Expected Results:
using the right device. if a stereo device is a available use this. is a mono device available use mono.

This should be fixed with recent versions of PA element in gstreamer, can you check if this is still reproducible in a recent distro that IS NOT Kubuntu 12.10?

Thanks !

I'm using openSUSE 12.2 which ships gstreamer 0.10.

Will test it after the release of openSUSE 12.3. It includes gstreamer 1.0.5.
Comment 3 RSB 2013-04-04 12:30:00 UTC
I recently upgraded to openSUSE 12.3. Although gstreamer 1.0 is available for openSUSE, kamoso is still compiled against gstreamer-0_10. So the bug exists further
