The tab cloning feature is removed in bug 184788 and is not configure able. I used this feature since KDE 3 and now it is removed as a BUG. The cloning is a feature - not a Bug!

I'm a sysadmin and need to login to many hosts and I loved the old cloning feature to open ssh commands that I define in the -e option, because I want to have my remote connections grouped in tabs in one window instead open dozen of windows.

Why is this feature removed and not configurable? So I must type always "ssh user@host" instead to start working - that is a real time killer for an admin like me.

Please put this feature back or make it configurable.

Thanks in advance

PS:
I will open a Gentoo bug to reintegrate the cloning feature as an anti patch (controlled by an useflag) as a quick solution for me.

Thanks for reporting.

A dedicated "Clone Tab" action has been added in the upcoming KDE SC 4.9. See bug 292518.
