Description Venky 2012-04-09 05:01:30 UTC
i hear several status message updates when the computer is put to sleep it is like ding ding ding ding ding....this is all my telepathy accounts getting disconnected and other system messages coz the network went down...Anyway to make this elegant?

I agree that this could be more polished. I get wifi "disconnecting" messages and such. Not sure what type of SIG a suspend to RAM sends (if any), but maybe KDE could just catch the signal and suspend more calmly.

Which exact KDE version is this about?
Comment 3 Venky 2012-06-02 22:13:12 UTC
This happens in stable kde 4.8.2 . It is quite an easy test
Turn up the volume on your kde install then suspend your laptop.
You would hear lots of beeps, either before suspend or once you come back from suspend
Now do the same thing with windows or Mac OS

Thank you for the fast feedback.

Imho fixed, I dont get any disconnect messages when I suspend or network connection gets lost, on Telepathy 0.5.1
Comment 6 David Edmundson 2013-01-17 08:09:39 UTC
It is fixed in KTp 0.5.1.

We were notifying that accounts had been disconnected, we now supress notifications if we know the user has turned off the network (such as when suspending)
