Description Rolf Eike Beer 2012-04-05 23:03:29 UTC
Since I updated to 4.8.2 yesterday all my dIMAP accounts are always offline. If I go to akonadiconsole and try to toggle them online they immediately switch back to offline. The log of akonadiconsole shows nothing when I toggle. The current task according to akonadiconsole for all is invalid.

What does the command below return?

qdbus org.kde.kded /modules/networkstatus org.kde.Solid.Networking.Client.status

Do you have ntrack installed? Which version?

I fscked it up. The problem was an invalid entry in /etc/hosts so the IMAP accounts always got a "connection refused" from the server. The real problem is that there is no feedback to the user that is in any way useful. Should I open a new bug for this or modify the topic of this one?

The feedback is that all accounts are offline and since the problem is outside any KDE program then this is an invalid problem from KDE's point of view.
