Description julien.t43+kde 2012-04-02 08:40:36 UTC
When zooming on picture (but also valid for map), It would be nice to have a global thumbnail preview which show position and complete picture (for example like Nikon D90 preview when zooming)
Eventually user could lock zoom level of both part for maps

I don't understand this entry. Please make mockup, and give more explanations please...

Mockup is your camera: at least on the Nikon and the olympus I got currently, when browsing pictures, they are displayed full screen. if you start to zoom, you have a small thumbnail of the full picture in a corner and a rectangle (white/red/whatever) to show which part of the picture you are, where you are moving.

In the case of maps, the "full preview" could either be a planet view or a continent view or maybe a region. I would say it depends on user and on current task. That's where the lock level option could be interesting

Already implemented in bottom/right corner. There is a button where a railway mode permit you to navigate over image through a thumbnail.

For the map, i don't see any advantage to see a planet view as railway solution. Map is always available on the right sidebar...

Look zoom level is currently implemneted in 2.6.0-beta3...

Yeah, that's it ... I couldn't guess.
is there a way to make it visible as soon as a zoom is done ?

Not reproducible with 7.0.0 beta 1.
