- What I was doing when the application crashed:

All you have to do is change the 'profile' in pulseaudio's configuration tab and bam - kmix crashes.
It also crashes at other times, but I haven't looked at those.
4.8.0 was pretty solid. 4.8.1 seems pretty crashy.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
