Open image in Editor and do Save As. Dialog appears - though there is just small windows with directories and files - most of the dialog is occupied with blank space where selected image preview appears. There is no need for image preview during saving operation.

The directory and file folder is so somall, so user has to resize (enlarge) dialog window to browse to destination directory comfortably.

I suggest to remove preview and retain more space for directory/file view.

Go to dialog toolbar and turn off preview tab on right side.

Just realized that this issue is still valide - setting to not display preview is not saved. Has to be repeat every save as operation. Please reopen.

I can confirm that the setting to not display preview is not saved and must be repeated every save operation.

Standard KDE dialog (with embedded extension), so probably a kdeui bug?

I remember that there is another bug about this. Basically the preview are is much too big but changes to the desired size immediately once you change the size of the dialog itself.

The bug is also reproducible with Kate when you saveas a text file. Preview settings is not saved between dialog session.

It's a KDELibs bug, as MArcel said in comments #4

Can't reproduce in Frameworks 5.45; the preview is off by default, reasonably sized when on, and remembers its size and on/off status.
