Please add the backtrace of the crash. Thanks for the update. It looks like SmoothTasks needs to be recompiled for KDE 4.8, as it uses private API from Plasma. I'm happy to do my part. I can riproduce this problem every time that I start plasma-desktop (if you need other backtraces). I'd like to know how did you trace down the problem from my attachment (what is the number of the problematic line? I cannot see from myself). Also I'm running Fedora (if it's interesting). Thank you for your time. Smooth tasks is not a part of KDE SC, but a third party applet. Since the bug has already been reported there, and the applet seems quite dead, there is not a lot anyone can do about it (except for picking up development again). Closing as downstream. |
