Kmix Backtrace because DrKonqui is broken.

Happened with the latest package update through kubuntu-ppa backports on 11.10. Dpkg -s says:

Package: kmix
Status: install ok installed
Priority: optional
Section: sound
Installed-Size: 1696
Maintainer: Kubuntu Developers <kubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com>
Architecture: amd64
Source: kdemultimedia
Version: 4:4.8.1-0ubuntu1~oneiric1~ppa1

Kmix did not crash before this update.

Kmix will crash when I plug in or remove my external USB sound card (5.1 outputs). Happens every time.

Please let me know if I can further help in any way.

Eric

I am also finding that kmix crashes when a song stops playing in vlc, or when it switches tracks. I am not able to reproduce this bug reliably.

Merging all bug reports that have a backtrace that indicates access to a dead/destroyed MixDevice to Bug 290742
