I noticed that when I execute ntp-client to update system time, the update is not taken into account by the KDE 4 clock until I edit the kde clock configuration (typically font style).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change time in the KDE clock (the system time is changed and it can be check by invoking the date command)
2. update time whith "date -s" or restarting ntp-client

Actual Results:
the date command indicates the updated system time but the kde clock do not

Expected Results:
the kde clock should beup to date

By default the clock plasmoid only updates when the "seconds" reaches zero (once per minute). If you set it to show seconds then it will update once per second.

Wait a minute and see if the cock updates. If it does then it is working as expected.

Your analysis is good. I think this information should appear in the clock configuration window.

Thx
