*** Bug 317044 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This bug is still valid for the current 4.10.1, is there any progress going on? Anything I can help to provide? See also my report on bug 294473 which is slightly different. I meant bug 317044. The system activity window _is_ krunner, and I am unsure if a single application can open windows on two different monitors at the same time (it might involve opening two X display connections?). If you want to help, you could provide a patch proving me wrong :) (In reply to comment #4) > The system activity window _is_ krunner, and I am unsure if a single > application can open windows on two different monitors at the same time (it > might involve opening two X display connections?). If you want to help, you > could provide a patch proving me wrong :) > Me!? :-0 I don't think so... Also the current situation with system activity + krunner = one program, is rather bad considering the krunner crashes (like bug 297502, 257996) this means when krunner crashes, your system activity is also not available... I think the best solution to this bug (and overall) would be to drop the system activtiy module in krunner completely. The button in krunner and the shortcut (Ctrl+Esc) should start then the system monitor (ksysguard) instead. Fixed with Plasma 5. |
