Description Jorge Adriano 2012-02-18 16:52:45 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

If you're watching a video in a browser and try to switch tasks, and the flip switch effect is on, kwin will crash (most of the time, it rarely doesn't crash).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Select flip switch
Go to youtube
Play a video full screen
Alt+tab a couple of times
It should crash almost instantly

Actual Results:
Crash

Expected Results:
Not crash

There were a few times where I tried it right after I restarted kwin, and it didn't crash.

I can reproduce the crashes,
- only with flip switch.
- in both chromium and firefox
- only if the video is full screen

Please dump a backtrace when it happens next time.
Do you have "suspend desktop effects for fullscreen windows" checked?

It was unchecked. But I checked it, and was able to reproduce it nonetheless. Just added the backtrace. This was after checking this option.

rather keep it unchecked, was just a wild guess.

Bug is a dupe.

Yes I'll keep it unchecked. Sorry, tried searching but didn't see it. Thanks!
