Description gabriele monfardini 2012-02-16 16:05:51 UTC
Version: git master (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

When a file is in Read-Only mode (Editor > Tools > Read Only mode)
there is no changes in the UI, nor in the tab, nor in the title.

It would be helpful if one can identify at first sight that the file cannot be edited.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Editor > Tools > Read Only mode on a file

Actual Results:
No hint given to the user that the file is in read only mode

Expected Results:
Something changed in tab icon or in the title or something else

This issue also affects me, and drives me crazy when a document is in read only mode. Acknowledging this in the UI, and also putting the read only checkbox somewhere more intuitive than editor -> tools, would be a very good idea. I'm running Version 4.3.1

Thanks!
