Description Hartwig Felger 2012-02-12 19:37:32 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

Replying to some mails, it does sometimes not save my sent mails into the right folder. I use an IMAP account and setup under identity to save sent mails to a folder on the IMAP account. Most of the time KMail respects this setting. Sometimes it saves the sent mail under the "local folder" branch (hope to get the right name here - it says "Lokale Ordner" in my german setup).

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Setup the folder for sent-mail to an IMAP-Folder.
Reply to a mail.

Actual Results:
Sometimes it will get misdirected to the local folders/sent-mail folder.

Expected Results:
It must allways store the copy of the sent mail into the folder, which is setup under your identity/extra tab - as log, as "store reply in same folder" is not checked

Now that I found my sent mails, I am a bit more relaxed.
My Setup: openSuSE 12.1 x64

Update your kmail please. 4.7.2 is very old.
I already fixed this bug in 4.7.4/4.8
