Description S. Burmeister 2012-02-12 13:46:33 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

Every few seconds kactivitymanagerd adds the following to the xsession-errors file. According to kdebugdialog kactivitymanagerd has debugging disabled.

Information value = zero after the first appearance. Danger of filling up /home and causing data loss.

kactivitymanagerd(32028)/nepomuk (library) {anonymous}::GlobalModelContainer::init: Connecting to local socket "/tmp/ksocket-rabauke/nepomuk-socket"
QObject: Cannot create children for a parent that is in a different thread.

"/usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd(32028)" Soprano: "QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name"
kactivitymanagerd(32028)/nepomuk (library) {anonymous}::GlobalModelContainer::init: Failed to connect to Nepomuk server via local socket "/tmp/ksocket-rabauke/nepomuk-socket"
"/usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd(32028)" Soprano: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstorage was not provided by any .service files"
"/usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd(32028)" Soprano: "Unsupported operation (2)": "Invalid model"

"/usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd(32028)" Soprano: "Unsupported operation (2)": "Invalid model"
"/usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd(32028)" Soprano: "Unsupported operation (2)": "Invalid model"
"/usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd(32028)" Soprano: "Invalid iterator."

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Disable nepomuk and restart KDE.

Actual Results:
- Spamming xsession-errors with useless info
- Wasting resources
- filling up /home if the session is only suspended but "never" restarted, resulting in data loss

Expected Results:
Report once and after that either keep quiet if not able to handle the situation without spamming the hard disk – or use methods like "the last messsage was repeated xyz times and write to xsession-errors less frequently and less text, i.e. as opposed to dozens.
