Version:           2.8 (using KDE 4.8.0) 
OS:                Linux

The menubar cannot be permanently hidden. On launching konsole, the menubar returns.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch konsole and hide the menubar.
2. Exit konsole.
3. Launch konsole.

Actual Results:  
Menubar is shown.

Expected Results:  
Menubar is hidden.

That is actually not a bug. See bug 288768 comment #1 for explanation.
