Description Michael Skiba 2012-02-08 09:59:12 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

I created a new user via "User management" in systemsettings.

But when I switch to this user KDM promts me that I have to enter a new password (root enforced), I click ok and a field appears where I can enter my password twice. Unfortunately it doesn't work (no dots are showing and I can't tab to switch between them).

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new user via systemsettings
2. Set a password for him via systemsettings
3. Switch User
4. Try to login as the new user
5. Try to enter a password

Actual Results:
Field appears but not usable

Expected Results:
A usable field where one can enter a password (and dots are showing :) )

There's a general issue with input focus in kdm's dialogs. See the other bug report for a workaround.
