Created attachment 68516 [details] two views of the cycle Version: 2.0 (using KDE 4.8.0) OS: Linux Dolphin cycle between different number of rows and colomns endlessly with preview enabled and icon view. With the scroll bar disappear when N rows of icons are shown and appear when N+1 rows of icons are shown. It seems that dolphin tries to automatically adjust the appropriate number of rows and columns of icons to show but end up with a endless cycle, eating up 40% of CPU and an unusable file manager(the icons are moving). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: To reproduce this you may need a folder with some icons just around sufficient for one window of dolphin to display(less than the icons number that cause scroll bar to appear), and you may adjust the height of dolphin window to let dolphin cycle as I said. Actual Results: the endless cycle begins Expected Results: static view that icons don't move. Maybe only happens when dolphin is maximized. Thus may require a specific screen resolution to reproduce, mine is 1280*800. I use an auto-hide panel at the bottom.
