Bug 293227

Summary: I get three notifications for each incoming kmail

Description Tony Levene 2012-02-03 17:25:25 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

I run Kmail with an IMAP/SMPT server. Many emails are doubled up so I get two. The notification was single, then double and now treble. It could be notification rather than KMail but that does not explain mulitple copies of the same email.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
It happens whenever there is an incoming email

Actual Results:
I have to get rid of the notifications - but sometimes, hitting one gets rid of all three

Expected Results:
Only sent one notification

I think the same thing happens with notifications such as updates.
I find updates hard as package manager Muon thinks I have another package manager open

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
