Please restore functionality previously found in Gwenview up to version 4.7.x: don't "Zoom to Fit" automatically when switching from one image to another.  Alternatively, please make this an option that can be switched on or off.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
View an image, select any zoom other than Fit (eg, View >> Actual Size), then select the next image by pressing <SPACE>.

Actual Results:  
The second image will automatically switch to "Zoom to Fit" view mode.

Expected Results:  
The second image should retain the previous view mode (eg, Actual Size), as per previous versions of Gwenview.

The previous behaviour (not automatically switching to "Zoom to Fit" mode) was very useful for comparing two extremely similar images (photographs) that might differ only in the amount of sharpness/blur.  Viewing these at 100% and rapidly switching between the two images made it easy and quite quick to select the sharpest/best image.

If automatically switching to "Zoom to Fit" is desired, it should be an option so that the previous (IMHO correct) behaviour could be preserved.

When restoring the previous behaviour, please make sure that the zoomed position (X, Y coordinate of the image viewport) is also retained.  In other words, don't inadvertently jump back to the centre of the picture!

Please, I also ask to bring back the old behaviour... it was a killer feature, and the reason that I'd like to use gwenview.

Any progress on this bug?  I note it is still present in KDE SC 4.8.2.

Patch to fix zoom problem

This patch adds the option "Preserve zoom across images": it restores 4.7.X functionality and makes it optional.  It works as advertised, for the most part: going backwards in a list of URLs (using the <BACKSPACE> key) does not always work correctly if the image has been discarded.
