Description Lukáš Karas 2012-01-29 01:02:39 UTC
Version: 4.8.x (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

Sometimes, when I use notebook without internet connection, Akonadi's Google Calendar resource switch to Offline state. Later, with internet connection, resource stay in this state. It is impossible switch this resource to Online state only with KOrganizer. I have to use Akonadi Console, or call method directly with qdbus

qdbus org.freedesktop.Akonadi.Resource.akonadi_gcal_resource_2 / org.freedesktop.Akonadi.Agent.Status.setOnline true

KOrganizer has no menu item for this command, neither resource context menu. Moreover, reource view has no indicator that resource is Offline and synchronization is not operational.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Resource item should indicate its state, its context menu should have command for switching state (online/offline).

Replaced with Google Calendar Resource years ago. The online/offline mode is reported by Qt now, so it should work the same for all resources.

That said, we still do not have a button to synchronize all calendars from KOrganizer, I made a Phabricator task for that.
