When selecting text for instance from ircII EPIC4pre2.505 an update 
occurs in the display. The selection in konsole is then reversed so that the 
whole screen up to the point of the mouse pointer is selected. 

In previous versions of konsole this even caused konsole to crash. I wonder 
if it would be a good idea to X-off while selecting.
