Actually, krita has that (or will have, it is first introduced in 2.4):

 * Select the tool miscalled "Ruler assistant tool editor" (the icon with a
 ruler
 * in the tool docker choose "perspective"
 * then you can create as many perspective grids as you want
 * in the freehand tool, you need to check the "assistant" check box
 * and then if you start drawing inside one of the grid, it will follow the
 direction of the perspective
 * and if you want the size of the brush to be adjusted in function of the
 perspective, go to the brush editor, and in size select the "perspective"
 sensor (and if you want to do funky stuff you can also make the color change in
 function of the perspective)

I know it, but imho it's not practical because the vanishing points of different grids don't "snap"/"stitch" together and it's not easy to put them on the same geometrical horizon.
In addition to select the perspective grids transparency level and to load/save a set of grids would be useful.

The vanishing point cross could be a bit more visible as well.

And I would also like to be able to load/save the grid within the .kra file. Setting up a set of grids for, say, a painting of a town square isn't something that's done only to throw away.

For now you can already save them in a seperate file. (hence it should not be too difficult to save it to the file. a good Junior Job but different report).

This bug has been fixed along with the saving of the assistants in .kra file

Where's the snapping/stitching of vanishing points, the alignment on the same same horizon and the transparency level of the grids? ^^

I'll add some of the perspective suggestions I've seen mentioned repeatedly here since the title is vague enough. And I don't want to open many bug reports on the same issue. The perspective grid/tool needs improvement.

First is Deevad's proposal http://www.davidrevoy.com/article159/design-ideas-for-a-new-krita-perspective-tool

Next is epic games application, proposed by Ico_dy (twitter) and Nezumi (Forums): http://epicgames.com/community/2012/11/free-art-tool-released-thanks-to-epic-friday/

Both ideas share ideas in common. Deevad's idea makes sense in krita because it has Tool options, and it allows to have dynamic perspective "sets", specially useful to work in comics (one of the features I've seen mentioned in blogs as the strongest side of Krita).

As a personal addition to the tools, allow to make 4 point perspective. do not limit to 3 points.

Current Perspective tool could be transform into a more complete version of the Perspective assistant.

To sum up:
To do:
- snapping perspectives vanishing points together to allow consistent geometry
- limitation of the area of impact with other features explained on David Revoy's site - https://www.davidrevoy.com/article159/design-ideas-for-a-new-krita-perspective-tool
My suggestion:
- allow snapping of vanishing points between Perspective assistant and Vanishing Point assistant (both direction)
- allow snapping of "moustache" of the Vanishing Point assistants with Perspective Grid assistant (both direction)


Already done:
- Perspective grid is an assistant
- it's saved into the .kra file

The epic games link doesn't work any more, so we cannot get any information from there.

It's ready to be taken and implemented. The perspective suggested by David Revoy might be a new kind of assistant, if needed. (In case there is a need for more features that would require mockups or discussions, there might be more feature requests).
