Description Dinand 2012-01-26 23:40:29 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

After a remote shutdown of an NFS server the KDE desktop freezes after clicking on the Kickoff Application Launcher (Bottom left on the screen). The mouse is moving but applications are dead. The clock stops running. The only way to shut down the system is to press Ctrl-Alt-Del. Logout en Logon doesn't solve the problem. After a restart the problem is gone.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Shutdown a remote NFS server.

Actual Results:
After clicking the Kickoff Application Launcher the KDE freezes.

Expected Results:
Ignore the remote NFS server.

I have tried to set the option on the NFS client (on the freezing machine) to soft and intr but this did no solve the problem.
