The integration module won't be affecting you being unable to connect. Which is the actual bug being reported here, systemsettings showing the integration module isn't running, or the inability to connect sometimes. Then I want to report here (as stated in the title): the ktp-integration-module cannot be started: -in "systemsettings" -> "Service Manager" it is stated as "not running" and -if I try a manual start by clicking on "Start" button in "systemsettings" -> "Service Manager" this error message appears: "Unable to start server ktp_integration_module." --> this also is stated in the bug title and happens everytime after multiple tries and after multiple restarts of the whole system. If this is the latest version (0.3) problem could be that the module is now kded_ktp_integration_module. Open file /usr/share/kde4/services/kded/kded_ktp_integration_module.desktop and replace "ktp_integration_module" with "kded_ktp_integration_module", and then try. If this fails, try to start it manually by running $ kcminit kded_ktp_integration_module To clarify things up - the integration module actually does start and work as expected, it's just the UI not being correctly updated. That is our own bug and it has been fixed. Bugfix release 0.3.1 will be out next week, fixing this issue. |
