i confirm this bug,i'm on chakra with kde 4.7.4 and have the same issue on ntfs partition *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** I can confirm this in KDE 4.8.0. If this NTFS issue first appeared in KDE 4.7.4, it might be a duplicate of bug 288824. This is a regression caused by the following commit in kdelibs, which is a fix for bug 178678: http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kdelibs.git&a=commit&h=02b7eb5d92daae4373e7d38d2d952a688bd42079 I have commented out the line «case FUSE_SUPER_MAGIC:» in kdecore/io/kfilesystemtype_p.cpp and the problem is solved for me. Maybe somebody will find this useful. But I know almost nothing about how file systems are mounted in Linux, so I'm not sure that this doesn't produce another bug in another place which I haven't noticed. Maybe a silly question: what if KDE would _always_ detect folders inside /media (or other folder with auto-mounted filesystems in other distros) as Fast? Does anybody really use /media for mounting network folders? Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 As well said by Frank Reininghaus, I would consider this a duplicate of bug 288824. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 288824 *** |
