Sentry Crash Report:

Description Mike Garwood 2012-01-09 06:07:31 UTC
Application: muon (1.2.1 "Caustic Carrionite")
KDE Platform Version: 4.7.3 (4.7.3) (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.7.4
Operating System: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I copied the iso file for the Kubuntu X86-64 11.10 (3.2 gb DVD) into my Home Directory and then extracted it. I then used the "software sources" package (in the other software tab) to add the containing folder (entered text: "deb /home/**user name**/Documents/**kubuntu dvd**/ [folder name containing extracted files]). It added two entries: 1) as typed above and 2) as typed above followed by "(Source Code)". Launched "Update Manager", got error:

'E:Malformed line 58 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (URI parse), E:The list of sources could not be read., E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'

Update Manager closed. Tried to run Muon Package Manager and this "crashed", generating this bug report.

- Custom settings of the application:
See above about writing dvd files to home directory--would this be considered custom?

-- Backtrace:

Went into "Software Sources" package; unselected added "volumes"; closed. Opened Muon Package Manager, to "Configure Software Sources" from Settings Menu, re-selected both "volumes". MPM "refreshed" it's sources but did not crash. Whether or not the MPM will "see" the volumes is "unknown" to me. I would have to install something to see if it would.

Loading the installation disk files onto the HD is something I have done in several "windows" (up to XP--switched to Linux before Vista) installs; I assume one can do the same thing here.
