Summary: Allow to delete items in image viewer
Product: [Applications] digikam Reporter: DrSlony <bugs>
Component: Preview-EngineAssignee: Digikam Developers <digikam-bugs-null>
Status: RESOLVED INTENTIONAL
Severity: wishlist CC: bugs, caulier.gilles, hanser
Priority: NOR
Version: 4.2.0
Target Milestone: ---
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Latest Commit: Version Fixed In: 5.7.0

Description DrSlony 2012-01-08 03:32:29 UTC
Version: 2.5.0 (using KDE 4.7.4)
OS: Linux

The OpenGL image viewer would change from being useless to being very useful for me if it would let me delete the current photo, or at least let me somehow mark it so that I can later close it and delete all the marked photos in one operation from within digiKam.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
[Del] key should delete the current photo. Optionally a confirmation dialog will show, but it must have a "Don't ask next time" option.

i second this as it's the better place to have a first look at the
pictures just imported and mark or delete the unwanted

plus i think it should be better in 'view' menu than in 'tools' menu

digiKam preview or image editor, or lighttable, or slideshow, or presentation
tool use the same engine to delete item. You can use GUI or keyboard
shortcuts. Use it instead OpenGL image viewer tool which is obsolete now.
