Description m.wege 2012-01-07 07:36:31 UTC
Version: 1.99.0
OS: Linux

Since my update from Kmail 4.8.RC1 to 4.8.RC2 I have problems to run Kmail on startup. It is non-responsive for 5-10 mins, during this time nepomukservicestub takes up to 20% of the CPU and virtuoso-t up to 60%.
I do not know if this is related, but Kubuntu did not provide newer packages for kdepim-groupware and kdepim-wizards. Both were deinstalled during upgrade. There is no groupware running.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
start the computer with KDE

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
very much faster start up.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.0-15-generic
Compiler: gcc

Cannot replicate with Kmail 4.10.5 on KDE 4.10.5
Comment 2 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:20:13 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
