Description infrabit 2012-01-04 15:52:38 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

Given a mail folder structure 'inbox/tech/admin' typing 'h/a' in the jump/move
dialog doesn't select the folder. This used to work in KMail 4.4.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a folder structure "inbox/tech/admin".
2. Type 'j' or 'm' to bring up the jump, respectively move dialog
3. Type 'h/a'

Actual Results:
Empty path name.

Expected Results:
Path should be "Inbox/tech/admin" as this is the only combination that matches.

This was reported in the past in bug 223815 but I cannot reopen that bug. Sorry for the duplicate.

I confirm it.
Comment 2 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:20:32 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
