Description Gunter Ohrner 2011-12-31 13:08:57 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

The generated message ID uses only my local hostname without any domain part, although I configured a FQDN in the message send settings dialog.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Manually configure a FQDN in the SMTP server settings dialog.

Actual Results:
A message ID containing only the local hostname is generated.

Expected Results:
A message ID containing the configured FQDN should be generated.

Created attachment 67745 [details]
Screenshot showing the configured hostname.

Contrary to the configured hostname, the generated message IDs in sent mails look as follows:

Message-ID: <1383648.yoNGqu87AF@zweiblum>

We don't specify MessageId here.
It's just use for complet email.
So it's invalid.

Ok, sorry, but the text box was misleading.

Where do I specify the hostname to be used for message ID generation?
