When I choose an application name to open a file, it should allow to match the input and provide only matching applications.

Expected Results:  
Provide only the list of matched applications.

Not sure if this is a feature of KDE 4.8, or if my system is configured differently, but it works here. Could you check when you updated if the implementation is sufficient to close this bug?

Is there any screen shot to check it? Since I use only KDE from Fedora repos, it will take some time to get it.

In Dolphin this is fully working by 2018.
