Description Maarten Vanraes 2011-12-26 11:20:52 UTC
Version: 4.0 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

due to title bar being in the same color as the window (and menu bar), it causes me to frequently miss position of pointer into menu bar instead of title bar, and thus instead of dragging window (which was my intention) i'm clicking the menu bar or application window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a konsole
2. try to drag konsole, but miss and click below title bar.
3. window doesn't move

Actual Results:
window doesn't move

Expected Results:
moving window (dragging)

i know this might seem silly, but it's just irritating to me, for some reason, the title bar being in the same color i seem to frequently miss the title bar when dragging, when with other themes i didn't have this problem.

You can configure Oxygen to initiate dragging from menu bar, or even all unused regions. Please ask in KDE forums where to enable it. http://kde.org/support/

well, since i'm mostly clicking on the top pixel row of a menu item, this would not help my case. i get an open menu instead of dragging in that case anyway...

and also, i loathe having dragging applications from unused regions in the middle of an app.

i would just from usability pov, to have a different colored title bar (or even partially different colored)

system settings->Workspace Appearance->Window decoration->configure decoration
Go to the "fine tuning" tab.
You can either change the "separator" settings (which I believe is enough already)
or check the "outline active window title"
(although this wont change the appearance of inactive window)

Alternatively, well, select another style.

Cheers,
