When Kopete crashes, it often looses the changes I made to contacts, meaning metacontacts I created or addressbook entries I conntected to a contact. By when Kopete crashes I mean crashes by Kopete itself (no specific) one and crashes of the system where Kopete is not shut down correctly. The problem seems to be that Kopete does not save changes imediately and therefor they are lost on a crash. This is kind of very annoying and takes away a little of the fun using this fine programme. I am aware that Kopete may soon be phased out and replaced by Telepathy, but at the moment it appears it will take its time until this is a full replacement. Therefor I would be really happy if this wish item could be implemented.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
