Version:           2.3.0 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS:                Linux

Description of problem:
I can't start digikam anymore on my Fedora 16 systems. When starting the splash screen appears, it scans the collection and finally shows "Loading database" but stays there forever. It never leaves the splash screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In my case, simply start digikam.

Actual Results:
It never loads completely, but hangs on the splash screen while displaying "Loading database"

Expected Results:
Normal program startup.

When started from the command line, I get these messages on the console:
$ digikam
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'ConnectionTest' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.

Apparently Fedora has version 2.4.1 in test for a future update. I have updated to that version and it seems this bug no longer appears there. I'll close this bug already.
