driver bug, as a workaround: "kcmshell4 kwincompositing", 3rd tab, set scale filter to "smooth". In case you are using fglrx, please try radeon driver which has better stability a general remark: bug reports on bugs.kde.org should be done in English - vastly raises chances they get reviewed at all. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 286795 *** Created attachment 67101 [details]

- What I was doing when the application crashed: Desktop Effects and fglrx driver crash while open-source radeon driver is fine.

Please use the free driver as that one works stable. There is nothing we can
do about unstable proprietary drivers.
