Plasma config files

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

In a laptop+external display configuration, the laptop panel has an "auto-hide" setting in the upper side. When I press Fn+F7 on the laptop, or otherwise allow KDE to manage my screen settings, the panel on the laptop will no longer work as "auto-hide" correctly, and instead it will behave like there are two panels:
1. one permanently visible, with the system tray broken (only some of the icons appear)
2. one that works correctly and shows up when I activate it.
Number 1. is the one bothering, and playing with the visible/auto-hide settings doesn't help. Restarting plasma solves it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
-On a laptop or laptop+external display set-up a panel with autohide feature.
-Play with Fn+F7/F8 or otherwise trigger the KDE randr managing functionality.

Actual Results:
Get broken panel number 1. as described above.

Expected Results:
Only get the original panel.

The movie at ftp://cetaura.com/evil-twin-panel.ogv shows the problem. Watch for the upper right panel. It is always visible with a broken system tray. When moving the cursor to the edge it will appear in the foreground with a working system tray. I'll also attach the plasma*rc files from the kde config directory.

This bug seems somewhat similar to #211619 and I feel it's even related with #279528.

I think I can confirm that there's some sort of duplication, the widgets on the desktop are duplicated, for example I can see the "temperature monitor" twice before restarting Plasma.
The currrent version is 4.7.4.
