Description aleusfrey 2011-12-16 11:16:42 UTC
Version:           2.1.0 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS:                MS Windows

Kile projects seem only to check if a subfile is imported to the main LaTeX-file via the "\input" command and not e. g. via "\import" or "\subimport". However, there a many situation (especially if the project is complex) where I want/need to import subfiles via the smarter "\import"
oder "\subimport" command. If I do so, some user friendly benefits of the Kile project get lost, since the dependent file are not recognized as such, and the project three is wrong.
In particular, labels and references are not available in all files within the project.

Please implement a sensitivity for "Import" commands other that \input.

Regards
Michael

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Simply make a project, in which a subfile is included via "\import" command.

Expected Results:
Subfiles should be recognized, if they are included to the main LaTeX-file via
"\import" and "\subimport" command.

A simple workaround to get labels autocompletion is to change the code in kileinfo.cpp:
Replace
children.append(root);
root->allChildren(&children);
by
children=project->items();

 if (root) {
                        KILE_DEBUG() << "\tusing root item " << root->url().fileName();

                        QList<KileProjectItem*> children;
                        //children.append(root);
                        //root->allChildren(&children);
                        children=project->items();

                        QStringList toReturn;
                        for(QList<KileProjectItem*>::iterator it = children.begin(); it != children.end(); ++it) {
                                KILE_DEBUG() << "\t" << (*it)->url().fileName();

                                toReturn << ((*it)->getInfo()->*getit)();
                        }
                        return toReturn;
                }
                else {
                        return QStringList();
                }
