Can you check if the file /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/air-mobile/icons/network.svgz exists? That file contains the icons for wifi and ethernet used by Plasma NM. /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/air-mobile/icons/network.svgz doesn't show up. network.svgz copied from https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/102827/ to the .../icons directory and it now shows up in a directory listing. After a cold restart, the Network Manager icon in the top bar is still a question mark. I'm posting this in case someone knows something else needed to fix this. And will be exploring further. Confirmed. Also happened in PA1. Also, the graphics of the menu that appears when the NetworkManager icon is pressed are rather glitchy. Here PA1 displayed networkmanagement icon properly. Confirm glitchy graphics on dropdown, but this is probably not related to the icon. Click the icon...characters are overwritten...click to disappear and click again...characters are correct. /usr/share/kde4/apps/networkmanagement/networkmanagement.notifyrc In addition to translations, contains IconName=networkmanager not "network" ExoPC openSUSE 12.1, with PA installed according to community.kde.org/Plasma/Active/Installation I think kde-runtime install the icon in /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/default/icons/network.svgz. It exists here in my MeeGo image. IconName=networkmanager in networkmanagement.notifyrc is correct. networkmanager.png is the bitmap version of the Plasma NM icon, network.svgz contains the SVG icons for wifi and ethernet system tray icons. network.svgz is used only on the system tray icon, in all other places Plasma NM uses .png icons, like networkmanager.png. The default system tray icon is networkmanager.png, it is only is only shown when Plasma NM does not detect any NM activity, which is very rare. The overlays used in the system tray icon are also .png icons. Can you attach screenshots of the problems? I do not have Plasma NM installed in my MeeGo image. On a fresh install... confirm that network.svgz is installed in /usr/share/kde4/apps/desktoptheme/default/icons it is not installed in .../air-mobile/icons/ as you suggested previously/above screenshot of placeholder icon will be sent in separate comment...file chooser doesn't wanna Created attachment 67344 [details]
