I accidentally lost my panel and recreated it from the "Default Panel" template, which contains launchers for Dolphin and Konqueror. I removed these via the context menu, but they reappeared after the next restart. I was able to reproduce this a second time by restarting again.

I just tried to reproduce this bug again, but this time only the Dolphin launcher reappears. Removing it still isn't effective if Plasma is restarted (via kquitapp, after waiting a minute for the config file to settle).

Oh, these things are actually a feature of the tasks applet. That explains why I won't see the Konqueror launcher while b.k.o is open in Konqueror.

The Plasma version is 4.7 Beta 1.

Stefan, have you tried using an empty panel instead? Maybe the default panel is set up by openSuse and re-configure at each startup by some javascript magic?

this issue was already fixed in the tasks widget.

This issue is not fixed, reopening. The default launchers which are defined with "preferred://filemanager" and ""preferred://browser" cannot be removed? They reappear at the next start of plasma-desktop.

I have this same issue, every time I remove the launchers in my panel (taskbar), they re-appear after the next restart. It's annoying.

My system is Arch Linux (x86-64), KDE 4.8.3.

Same Issue as reported by all and by Diego Viola above : there are two launchers i.e konqueror and dolphin on my panel : i remove/delete them but they come back : the task manager settings behind these two launchers apparently show no settings to change and get rid of these 2 launchers: remember the sa,e bug on KDE 4.7 in past

I confirm this still happens in 4.9b2. In addition, I got two identical konqueror launchers at first Plasma execution, instead of konqueror and dolphin launchers.
